Trip 4 was almost a disaster before it began. I spent the best part of two months talking to a girl I’d met on Chinese Love Links. She was under my lower age limit, but she seemed happy with the age difference. Well I was willing to go along with it.
Then when we finally came to seeing each other on Skype, I realised she looked nothing like her photos. Our relationship pretty much ended that day. Naturally she was disappointed. But hell, if you’re going to post airbrushed photos to a dating site (many Chinese ladies are big fans of this), then don’t be surprised if a mislead man is going to feel cheated.
Yeah, always try to get natural photos out of ladies, although Chinese ladies even airbrush their snapshots so it’s pretty tough. Anyway, the good thing is that the webcam rarely lies. If you like a lady you see on webcam, then the odds are you’ll like her even more when you two eventually meet.
So I rapidly data mined Chinese Love Links to search for new ladies to visit. I even joined China Love Match as well, to make sure I’d not overlooked any girl. I also tried DateInAsia, although as usual the quality of contact on this site was questionable at best.
With two weeks to go before my second visit to Guangzhou, four ladies were shortlisted, with many more on the reserve list. Yeah, there are a lot of Chinese ladies in China. And Chinese ladies are very eager to meet Western men. Please don’t sell yourself short in China – you’re a valuable commodity to the Chinese Love Links ladies. In fact, the total number of Western men I saw in a two week trip to Guangzhou would have fitted inside a 737 short haul jet.
In the end I visited two ladies on this visit. Less is more I’ve come to learn.
Lady 1 was very nice. Once again I cannot fault the quality of lady on Chinese Love Links or China Love Match. But I felt she was a little young for me. I didn’t fail to notice that the Asian bride age difference calculator was spot on in this case – she really was just a little too young for me – only by a couple of years, but what a huge difference a couple of years makes.
Lady 2 was three years older, and… well let’s just say that to quote the three bears, this one was just right! And you know what – now I realise that finding an Asian girl who really loves you, well you can’t put any price on that.
As to Asian wife finding trip 5, well the signs are that for the first time ever I’ll visit the lady I met on the previous trip. After that comes the fiance visa so she can spend time with me in my own country. If you’re an older, more experienced guy then you might want to consider marriage sooner, but in my experience you really need to spend a few months with your Asian lady before you commit to something like marriage.
