Thai Dating Site Ladies by Province

Interested in dating Thai ladies? The map below shows the number of ladies on the Thai Cupid dating site, mapped by Province. A deeper blue means more ladies, a lighter colour represents fewer ladies. Scroll down for a breakdown of the data, and how it might be useful in your search for a beautiful Thai bride.

Welcome to Thai Brides. On this site you’ll find loads of useful information about visiting and living in Thailand as well as meeting and dating Thai girls.

If you want to find a Thai bride then I highly recommend Thai Cupid. I averaged one date a week while I was using it when I lived in Bangkok. Sign up and check them out!

I hope you find this map useful. I made a similar one for Chinese ladies – check it out here. I started making these maps because when I lived in China I found dating to be awesome in Guangdong Province but pretty rubbish in Zhejiang Province (boring dating story here and here). Then I had the idea to do a similar map for Thailand.

I lived in Bangkok for 6 months back in 2013 and I revisited during the Summer of 2018. Although I’ve briefly visited Pattaya, I feel more at home in big city Bangkok, so that’s where I did all of my Thai dating.

I found Bangkok to be OK for dating, but it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. Heck, when I revisited the city in the Summer of 2018 I only managed to get one date from Thai Cupid in 16 days. That was pretty disappointing, especially as I was also spending a bit of time on Thai Friendly as well as the popular Chinese dating app TanTan.

The Findings

Well there are no surprises really. Bangkok is way bigger than any other city in Thailand and as a result there are a lot of ladies to meet. I counted 1558 ladies in Bangkok, which is over 4x as many as the next part of Thailand: Chon Buri. Chon Buri includes Pattaya – another major city where Thai ladies can easily meet foreigners for romance and fun and sexy times.

Outside the reaches of urban Bangkok, are there other places that could offer us good Thai dating opportunties?

Southern Thailand doesn’t look that great for dating, especially if you discount Phuket. Who would look for long term romance in Phuket anyway?

I did once apply for a teaching job in Nakhon Si Thammarat but having now crunched the dating numbers it doesn’t look like it would be an amazing place for dating.

Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in the North of the country could offer better opportunities. Actually I did also apply for a job in Chiang Mai. I was tempted but the salary was really low and I can make way more money living in China, even if I am foreveralone there.

For potentially good Thai dating experiences outside of Bangkok it looks like the central areas towards Issan could be good. Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen and Udon Thani look like being some of the better provinces as far as meeting Thai ladies goes. These are clean and fertile provinces with good air and a much more affordable quality of life compared to what you could reasonably expect in Bangkok these days.

One other province that could be worth a look is Ubon Ratchathani on the border with Cambodia. Again it’s not somewhere I know much about. I mostly dated ladies from Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen or Udon Thani while I lived in Bangkok. I dated a couple of Cambodians who were working in Bangkok hotels. They were really nice, so I’d recommend checking out ladies who live along the Cambodian border.

I don’t know what Cambodia is like for dating but I do know that Bangkok was really expensive when I revisited there in 2018. Plus the cleanliness standard in hotels had gone way down. Given how strong the Thai baht is these days, it’s maybe time to start looking for living and dating opportunities elsewhere.

The Science Bit

I gathered the data by finding a list of Provinces of Thailand (sometimes called states), then going onto Thai Cupid and finding out how many ladies there were in each Province.

I restricted the search to ladies between the ages of 18 and 30. I excluded anyone without a photo in their profile. Finally I only counted ladies who had logged into their account in the past week.

As to the age range, well we’re more interested in the relative numbers of ladies in each province rather than absolute numbers.

My Thai Cupid settings also restricted any ladies taller than 5′ 9″ (176cm). I don’t think this would discount too many Thai women, but it might reduce the numbers of ladyboys included in the calculations.

Oh and my maximum weight was set to 73 Kg.

Finally I had to guestimate a couple of places as the Thai Cupid province list seems to pre-date a few 2011 Thai government boundary reorganisations. Most notably, I couldn’t find Beung Kan, so I had to estimate it from comparatively sized provinces.

Anyway, I hope you found this data useful. As you can see there’s definitely more to Thai dating than Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. Not only will the other parts of Thailand offer a lower cost of living, you’re probably more likely to avoid the worst of the scammers and money lookers that plague dating in Bangkok and Pattaya.

Good luck with your search for your own Thai bride! If you have any suggestions as to where is a good place to live in Thailand then do leave your comments below! As I said I only really know Bangkok and Pattaya. I don’t think either of them are that great for long term dating potential. I did nearly apply for a job in Nakhon Si Thammarat but I didn’t feel I knew enough about that province to be able to come to a decision.
