How to Find a Cute Asian Girlfriend

I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled to Asia on a number of times. I’ve even lived there on two occasions.

One thing I did notice while i was in Asia is how cute the ladies are! In Japan it’s common to see ladies dressed like this…

So that got me thinking – how easy is it to find an Asian girlfriend of my own? And can anyone find an Asian wife or girlfriend?

How Easy is it to Find an Asian Girlfriend?

So how easy is it to find an Asian girlfriend? Well the great news is that it’s very easy! Having said that, you need to be realistic about the type of Asian lady you will attract:

• Japanese ladies tend to prefer to date men who are no more than 5 years older than themselves. If the lady is over 45 then this can be stretched to maybe 10 years. Japanese ladies (such as the hot one pictured above) tend to be quite fashionable and very well educated. Japan is a very wealthy country and standards of living are some of the highest in the world. Few Japanese people like living overseas for any length of time. If you want to find a Japanese girlfriend then you really need to live in Japan. This isn’t always easy – Japan is furiously expensive, and the language is notoriously difficult to learn. On top of that I found Japanese women to be very hard to understand. They find it difficult to say yes or no, and everything must be done by consensus.

• Chinese ladies tend to look fairly similar to Japanese ladies. Personally I think Chinese ladies are a better choice if you’re looking for an Asian girlfriend. If you’re a young guy in your 20’s then you should find plenty of Chinese girls in your local area studying at the nearest University. Failing that you’ll find plenty of Chinese dating sites where you can chat to hot Chinese girls. The language barrier is a big problem, but English is taught in most Chinese schools these days so younger Chinese women tend to understand some English. As far as age difference goes, you can easily find a Chinese girl who will date a guy 10 years or more her senior. Don’t ever assume Chinese women are mail order brides though – Chinese women are some of the best educated in Asia, and you’ll find that the Chinese girls on Asian dating website tend to be from the middle or upper reaches of Chinese society. If you want to marry a sugar mama then China is a good choice – one of the Chinese women I dated through Chinese Love Links was absolutely loaded!

• For older guys looking for Asian wives and girlfriends Thailand or the Philippines are usually better choices. Japan is expensive, and older Chinese ladies rarely speak English. Well life is generally too short to learn Mandarin Chinese, so you might want to consider Thailand or the Philippines. Sadly the language barrier could be just as much of an issue with Thai brides. However, the good thing is that so many foreigners have Thai wives that Thai women usually have a friend or relative with a Western husband. So they have a pretty good idea of what’s involved with marrying a Westerner. Filipino ladies are also a popular choice, if only because it’s just so easy to find a much younger girlfriend from the Philippines. Filipinas have a big advantage in that they often speak good English, so there isn’t such of a language barrier. Both Thailand and the Philippines are full of little brown girls just waiting to chat to you online. Want a wife who is 20 years or more your junior? Then get chatting to Thai or Filipino women online!

• Other countries are also worth a look. Korean ladies are reckoned to be the best looking in all of Asia. Unless you know the language and culture, it’s kind of hard to find a Korean girlfriend though. Cambodia and Vietnam are increasingly popular destinations for men seeking exotic oriental brides. Personally I think Vietnamese women are very hot indeed, and so is the climate! Indonesia and Malaysia are less obvious choices, but they’re good if you’re a Muslim man who wants to find an oriental wife who is also a Muslim. I spent a week in Kuala Lumpur while I was getting my Thai visa sorted. I really loved KL and took way more photos of the place than I did of Bangkok.

How to Get Started With Asian Dating

So I’ve given you some suggestions as to which countries are good for finding Asian girlfriends. The next step is how to find her!

To be honest, having made four trips to Asia to meet ladies, I have to say that if you can spend 3-6 months in Asia then you’ll find it much easier to find love in Asia. Then you can meet girls in person, and avoid all the scammers on dating sites.

One weird thing you’ll find when you live in Asia is that there are just so many Asian women on dating sites who don’t want to meet you. I’d say a big proportion of women on dating sites are (a) married (b) scammers (c) just seeking confirmation of their sexual market value.

Well if you’re not yet in Asia then be very careful because there are just so many women on dating sites that shouldn’t be on there quite frankly. Hey you know what? My ex claimed she got married to an Asian dude 4 years ago but the other day I saw her profile on a well known Asian dating site. I wonder what the backstory there is?

I guess that Asian women do tend to be very friendly, and you’ll have no problems meeting ladies. Western men are rare in countries like Japan and China, so there’s the novelty value that will make you popular. Of course, in less wealthy countries like Thailand and the Philippines, a Western man is also seen as a walking cash machine, especially if you’re white.

On the downside things are changing so rapidly here in Asia (yes I’m living here again!). Apps like Tinder and TanTan (Chinese Tinder) are really ruining the dating scene here. Women can check TanTan 100 times a day in search of Chad Thundercock. If you’re an average guy, or an older guy, then you’re not gonna get much attention. Of course if you actually date a woman off of an app like this, then do you seriously think they’ll uninstall the app and settle down? Nah – the lure of Chad is just too great.

If you can’t get time off then you’ll have to try online dating. There are a lot of Asian dating websites, I like the Cupid Media sites (AsianDating.com, Chinese Love Links, Thai Love Links, Filipino Cupid, Japan Cupid), Asian Kisses, DateInAsia, Cherry Blossoms and Thai Love Lines. In general it’s better to use a flat rate site that charges you a monthly fee. I met my first Chinese girlfriend on a site called Chnlove. This site is notorious for being expensive, even if it does allow you to communicate with Chinese ladies who speak no English whatsoever.

Shortlisting Ladies

Pay for a membership of one of the Asian dating personals sites I’ve mentioned and you’ll often be swamped with admirers. Actually that’s not quite true – if you’re interested in Japanese ladies then you’ll have to do most of the chasing.

But if you’re interested in Chinese, Thai or Filipino ladies then they’ll be beating down a path to your door. Especially Filipino women, less so with Chinese women. These countries all have big populations of women, and they can find it hard to marry men in their own country once they’re past the age of 26 or they’re divorced or have a kid already. So you’ll be VERY popular on these sites!

Once you’ve decided on the country, try to find a city that you’d like to visit ladies in. Ideally choose one in a city that’s easy for you to travel to. My first Chinese girlfriend was from a small Chinese city in the middle of Hubei Province. Well it turned out that wasn’t an easy place to visit, so on my next visit to China I chose Guangzhou, a big city with a major international airport and hundreds of thousands of single women!

Guangzhou was a dating paradise but on my next visit to China I chose a smaller city in the far East of the country. That was a dating wasteland, despite being a city of at least 5 million people.

Usually it’s best to shortlist 2-3 ladies you want to visit. And you will have to visit them. The mail order brides time is over – immigration departments will never allow you to marry a foreign woman you’ve never met! So you can’t order a wife online and wait for her at your local airport.

And when shortlisting ladies, don’t fall in love with any of them until you’ve met them in person. And for goodness sakes, don’t send any of them money before you visit them! There are a lot of scammers on dating sites, and if you send money to somebody you’ve never met, you’ll only regret it later.

When shortlisting ladies bear in mind that many ladies post airbrushed photos to their profiles. Chinese ladies do this a lot. These photos are flattering, but they make a lady look a lot different to her real look! Before flying thousands of miles to meet ladies, ask them to send you natural snapshots of them, and always insist on seeing them on webcam. Skype is free, and most Asian women will have access to a computer with a webcam. The webcam is not very flattering, so if your girl looks good on webcam, then she’ll look great in real life.

So that’s a basic guide to finding an Asian girlfriend. When I first started looking for Asian ladies to meet I thought only Asian brides came from Thailand, and that only older dudes married Thai women. How wrong I was! There’s an Asian girl out there for everyone – even YOU!
