Does anyone have any opinions on where the best place to retire to in Thailand is?
I lived in Bangkok and briefly visited Pattaya a couple of times.
I liked the big city life of Bangkok. It was also good to have access to good hospitals, farang food and all the other stuff a big international city has to offer.
Pattaya was a lot cheaper than Bangkok but I didn’t think the beach was that nice. Plus I could only take the nightlife for a day or two before I went completely crazy.
I’ve heard Chiang Mai is nice but I might miss the sea.
Is there anywhere else worth mentioning?
