Hi everybody,
I just wanted to know how many of you have a plan to move to Thailand. As I understand it you can normally get a Thai retirement visa from the age of 50, so that means I have roughly 4 years and 9 months before I can GTFO out of Farangland and go live in Thailand.
So why do I want to retire to Thailand. Well I can think of some advantages over Farangland:
- Warmer weather
- Better dating opportunities
- Great food
- More relaxed
- Less need to get all steamed up about immigration and other issues affecting Farangland
- Lower cost of living
I have actually lived in Thailand before (for 6 months in 2013) so I kind of know what I’m letting myself in for. If any of you guys are thinking of retiring there, would you test it out before making a longer term commitment to Thailand?
